Rene Caisse - Humble Healing - Effective Healing

rene caisseRene Caisse was a Canadian nurse living in the town of Bracebridge, Ontario. Caisse set up a free clinic which ran from 1934 to 1942 for the express purpose of healing cancer. She reported hundreds of people being completely cured after having been given up for dead by the orthodox medical establishment. She was so successful and there were so many letters of endorsement to the Government of Ontario that the legislation of the Province of Ontario, with strong endorsement from the then Premier of Ontario was in the process of passing a Bill to grant Caisse license to practice medicine because of her success in treating cancer. It was never granted and her well chronicled medical reports and her astounding results were completely ignored and her clinic was shut down from pressure from the medical establishment.

The now famous Essiac or Essiac Tea is a very simple blend of four herbs; greater burdock root (Arctium lappa), slippery elm inner bark (Ulmus rubra, formerly known as Ulmus fulva), sheep sorrel (Rumex acetosella), and Indian or Turkish rhubarb root (Rheum officinale). Any formulation containing more than these four herbs is not Essiac. This herbal combination is used to make a tea that is primarily used around the world for cancer. The original formula has its roots in native Canadian Ojibwa medicine and was discovered or offered to Rene Caisse. It is believed that through formal studies and testing she reduced the formula to the 4 herb formula. There is one question however; Red Clover is part of the 8 herb formula and since Red clover is native to Europe and has been naturalized to North America. Therefore, although an Ojibwa herbalist/medicine man might have originally combined it, it is unlikely or doubtful that the 8 herb formula is entirely of Ojibwa origins and part of their traditional herbalism. Caisse used her family name spelled backwards to name the four herb combination.

 People around the world continue to use this formulation and one would think that the very fact that they seek it out means that they are or sound mind, capable and not unintelligent or incoherent. In other words, the people who use the Essiac know exactly what they are doing when they are seeking it out and why they are seeking it out.
