Franz Bardon has been
helping humanity through
teaching for a long long
time and has had several
significant incarnations on
Earth for the sake of humanity:
Nostradamus, Apollonius of
Tyana, Roger Bacon,
Robert Fludd, Hermes
Trismagistus to name a few.

The three books of the work of Franz Bardon are actually the first complete explanation of the first, second and third tarot cards seen in our times. What is currently understood under “Tarot Card” is not intended here. The Tarot actually refers to the laws, order and history of our universe. It is compatible with all the major religions and philosophies except when it is treated as a “New Age” toy for amusement.

Each of the three Franz Bardon books, Initiation Into Hermetics, The Practice Of Magical Evocation and The Key To The True Kabbalah are a complete and clear rendition of the hieroglyphs on the first, second and third pillars of the Temple of Wisdom of Ancient Egypt. This was all that was permitted to be revealed by Divine Providence at this time. In these books you will find the clearest explanation to date of what the Tarot actually is and how to apply it practically for the sake of edifying the physical body, the soul and spirit.

When Divine Providence had asked Franz Bardon to give these great mysteries to humanity in such an open format Franz Bardon was reluctant to do it. In the past these mysteries were very closely guarded. As unfeeling as it may sound, the priesthood of Egypt could kill anyone who started there initiation into hermetics and for what ever reason did not complete their initiation. Knowing the potential for mischief that this type of high metaphysical information is capable of, it is completely understandable that Franz Bardon would have been extremely apprehensive to have just presented it this clearly to humanity.

All topics pertaining to metaphysics, spiritual rebirth and spiritual growth are included, accurately addressed or otherwise discussed in detail in the masterworks of Franz Bardon. In short this body of work is metaphysics itself and not yet another fortune tellers tool. It is written for anyone seeking the highest possible spiritual maturity while still on Earth and one of the greatest blessings bestowed to human kind.

For anyone belonging to any religion, this information does not in a way circumvent or disparage anyone’s belief system. The whole point of spiritual development is to understand Divinity in all it’s aspects without disparaging anyone’s point of view with respect to their own concepts of spirituality. Being part of Divinity, everyone is entitled to their own space and point of view.

Divine Will Brings Everything Into Being To Fulfill A Purpose

“For thousands of years Franz Bardon had taught the Holy Mysteries only to a few mature students. This changed in 1950’s when Divine Providence commissioned Franz Bardon to reveal the Holy Mysteries in the form of three books to the whole world. The Mysteries were finally openly revealed because of the many people killed in wars, who, in the spirit world, complained that they had no access to the true path of spiritual development. The spirit that was Franz Bardon and other prominent historical figures has been the bringer of The Spiritual Sciences to the world for those who are seriously working towards the path to perfection. These are the Sacred Mysteries also contained in the Bible in less explicit form and in all other religions that contain them. This very point can be clearly proven by anyone willing to read Emanuel Swedenborg’s Arcana Coelestia from start to finish and the works of Jakob Lorber.

This Hermetic knowledge has always been closely guarded and was only taught by the ancient Egyptian priesthood to a select few in a master to pupil, in a one on one apprenticeship. It would seem that this method has not changed whenever it was being taught over the millennia. This information had intentionally been kept  hidden because it is sacred and for fear that it would be profaned.

Hermetic Science has no short cut. There are no shortcuts to perfection. There are only two paths that will take you to spiritual maturity. The first is through saintliness, which is in the observance of the Commandments, loving God and loving our fellow man more than yourselves. This is a noble but also a longer road to perfection that requires more patience than effort. The second method is through the practice of the mysteries taught in hermetics. This path is shorter but requires considerably more work and is clearly outlined starting with Initiation Into Hermetics by Franz Bardon. In the writing of Jakob Lorber, it is quite evident that Christ had trained the apostles in these methods sometimes for hours each day.

The works of Lorber, although profound are not as explicit with the spiritual, astral or physical training sequence. The three books by Franz Bardon written more recently by the express request of Divine Providence contain the most complete form of instruction into the sacred mysteries ever permitted to humanity.

What is Initiation?

Initiation is just another word for ” Baptism.” The religious baptismal ritual of washing the head or body with water is a traditional ceremony that symbolizes the purification of the soul. The use of water in this traditional rite is both symbolic of the soul and, at the same time, the purification of the soul. It does not spiritually tie anyone to any one religion.

Whether it is the Hindus in the Ganges, Christians in a river or baptismal font etc., the symbolism of the purification of the soul, which, in metaphysical terms, is analogous to the Water Element and the Moon Sphere, is the same, differing only in religious connotations. Because this ritual requires no real effort it stands to reason that it contributes nothing towards any actual Spiritual rebirth with the prerequisite spiritual purification. At best, done in this way, this is merely a symbolic baptism, or an Initiation rite into a religious sect. By extension, the religious belief that one espouses through this initiation is commensurate with ones own level of spiritual maturity – whether it be Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or Jewish. Still, as a religious practice, it is to be respected.

The information in the book Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon is literally a “Baptism into the hidden mysteries.” Some will debate that only Christ or only by accepting Christ is this possible. The negation of Christ has no part in this. Spiritual maturity is granted solely on the merits of ones comprehension of truth through goodness which, when combined, form the love within the individual.

With that understanding also comes an acceptance of other things that are universally Holy. Without that understanding of love from a universal point of view, the Divinity within each of us is neither permitted to penetrate into any mystery nor granted any spiritual powers – no matter how great the effort. Divine Providence will not permit it.

Initiation Into Hermetics Defines Sin And The Forgiveness Of Sin Outside Of Religious Context

The application of the contents of Initiation Into Hermetics by Franz Bardon serves first to purify the soul in order to gain access to our full faculty and it’s inherent strength. This is the very first step towards all true spiritual enlightenment. In universal as well as Christian terms the purification of the soul starts with introspection; the recognition of a shortcoming and then actively working towards controlling it to put it back into equilibrium with it’s opposite within our being so that it no longer predominates. This is the true “forgiveness of Sin.” The fruit of Introspection is self confession as part of the discovery of self. When we can recognize and honestly admit to ourselves that our inner equilibrium is off, we can knowingly work towards correcting it because it not only disturbs our own inner harmony and peace; it also limits our potential, can make us physically ill, disturbing and diminishing our mental faculty while potentially contributing to more Karma in our existence. Who needs more Karma to deal with?

Again, in Christian terms some may again debate that since Christ died for our sins that any contemplation of any further forgiveness of sin is not necessary. This is a fallacy. That allegory deals with spiritual imbalances within the entire spiritual realm up to that point. By Christ’s paying of that debt, existence changed for all humanity throughout the universe in profound ways. But, this is outside of the scope of this article. The Sins that Christ died for represent a far greater mystery that can be described here. Without that monumental task having been accomplished by Christ it is doubtful that humanity would have survived at all to this day. The details of this will be found in both the work of Lorber and Swedenborg.

Sin is a state of being out of equilibrium in our soul. It is only truly forgiven when the propensity or desire to want to act in a negative manner is no longer present. i.e. the basis for the desire to act in the negative polarity of any Element is no longer present from having established an equilibrium with that desire.

Christian teachings often speak of the salvation of the soul and its pivotal importance to spiritual life. But seldom, if ever, is there a definition of what the soul actually is, what purpose it serves, what it is made of, how it relates to or connects to the physical body or the spiritual body. The realization within one’s person that they do indeed have an “inner life” separate from an “external life” represents what is being symbolically expressed by the “Second Day of Creation” in Genesis. This is explained better than anywhere else by Lorber and Swedenborg. Proving that the Bible is indeed a spiritual book of instruction. The sacred mysteries explain this explicitly and many other fundamentals which have long been called “mysteries” because only very, very few had an accurate and meaningful understanding of them and did not openly discuss it for fear that it be profaned. This is the difference between common knowledge and knowledge that is truly sacred.

What Is The Soul and What Is Its Struggle?

In simple terms the Soul is the harbinger between the Spirit and physical body. It houses our reason as we establish it from what we sense through our physical body tempered by our Spirit. It is connected to both but separate from either. The Will is an attribute of the Spirit, not the soul. It is through the will that the spirit directs the soul to be closer to the spiritual. Or, should the soul have more darkness than light it gravitates towards the physical (external) body. Rising to the proximity of the spirit the soul becomes more like the Spirit, descending to the physical it is closer to the darkness which can rightfully be called Satanic or Hellish. The physical is beguiling and tempting in its sensuousness while the spark of God within us beckons us through our spirit to awaken towards the spiritual. Herein lays the importance of the struggle within all human beings.

A Healthy Calm Mind Can Only
Exist In A Strong Healthy Body.

This struggle is compounded by the fact that the substance of the soul is made up of the substance of up to 10 generations of our own progenitors with their virtues and vices. In addition we have our own burdens and those of the world around us that can compound an already heavy burden. In short the soul is where we harbor our noble as well as our impure character traits that make up our personality and tinge our reason. The negative traits are the actual cause of our ailments. Ailments are not without purpose. They serve to keep us from sinking even deeper into a purely physical existence.

The struggle of life is to free ourselves of our own negative traits which, among other things, keep us in darkness. The removal of the negative traits is tantamount to the Christian concept of the “forgiveness of sin.” This is the very first and most essential step towards spiritual growth. This purification of the soul is necessary to allow the Spirit to be more active within her that our reason come closer to reality. It stands to reason that the actual work of purification cannot be done without a tangible understanding of what the soul is, its purpose and workings.

It becomes immediately evident that Franz Bardon is extremely well versed in what he is writing about. However, he also assumes that you have enough of an understanding and a certain degree of maturity to know what you are working with.

One has to know their way around their own soul to recognize where it is weak and where it is strong. The ancients had an axiom that stated that the first step in acquiring wisdom is to “know thyself.” Only then can we proceed towards a purification because if we cannot see our own shortcomings, how can form our reason from a proper understanding to consciously better ourselves. This process restores the strength of the soul and leads to its re-awakening. A weak soul being Earth bound, whereas a healthy soul has the attributes of and resembles its Spirit. This work requires a higher form of belief, a “living belief,” that also works with an active living understanding of working with one’s own spiritual and astral faculties.

Before this purification most people have a fear of physical death. After getting familiar with one’s own soul and realizing that it is the “real you” – it becomes quite clear that there is no actual death. Only then do we start to realize what it means to truly be children of God made in His image and able to act with His authority over all that is created as active participants in Creation.

This is the main focus and fulfillment of true Mysticism. Only those who have searched for this would have found it. And, only those willing to work for it will be truly baptized – acquiring a true Initiation into a more absolute belief in a more workable and living spiritual life. This requires efforts that most people are completely unaware that are their own. It is a completely different experience than participating in a customary church or baptismal ritual. Once a person acquires an understanding of spiritual things from the universal view presenting by Franz Bardon it become easier to understand the spiritual practices and symbolism of all religions, making it less likely to show prejudice against them and respecting the spiritual views held by the many different religions.

This is why the first book by Franz Bardon is aptly entitled Initiation into Hermetics; it is a “Baptism into that which is hidden” which is why it is one of the greatest of blessings given to humanity in our very troubling times. The whole collection of Franz Bardon’s works is in truth the latest modern day revelation of Love and Mercy from Divine Providence by the Will of the Creator.
