Johannes Helmond appears to be an actual Rosicrucian and a true alchemist. Many in this field are not genuine. They are called “puffers” by those who actually know the this arcane art.

In examining this depiction a lot can be learned. This same theme is repeated over and over again by all mystics. The idea of a Tripicity or a Trinity is recurrent. You will find it in the Bible, in the works of Franz Bardon, Jakob Lorber and Emanuel Swedenborg as well as Robert Fludd.

The mystery of this particular depiction becomes apparent only after some careful examination and some comparing between what is being said by the previously mentioned writers/philosophers/prophets. Like things to do with what is sacred mystery, it must be discovered by the individual because before it comes into focus it will not be accepted. This is why much of sacred art is veiled. The sacredness of the truth it contains is protected from profanation by it. And, like most real truths, it is staring right at us yet few see it. It has always been this way.

“Do not cast ye pearls before swine, lest they turn and rend thee.” A truer statement has indeed never been uttered.
