The Heart of Christianity Is In Christian Mysticism – The Bible Is A Good Start! But, Don’t Be Afraid Of Looking Elsewhere.
For those who would say that knowledge of the Sacred Mysteries is evil, should remember what Christ says to his apostles:
“And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not: and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophesy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive. For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.” (Mathew 13: 10-17)
It can be gathered by the above passage (f) that it is the fault of the individual that they do not know the mysteries. Because as Christ Himself puts it, “they” have closed their eyes and ears, deliberately that they might enjoy materiality. Should they decide to open their eyes and ears to see and hear again they might be converted back to reality and leave their materialistic ways.
That the apostles were personally instructed by Christ in the mysteries is obvious but, by sentence (f) it is also made quite clear that the mysteries where not reserved only for the apostles.
Christ said many times that the Kingdom of Heaven is for all who follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, and as stated in line (b) the mysteries are a part of the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore it can be concluded that the Mysteries are intended and accessible for all who follow Christianity with a pure heart but not necessarily those who are “church going”– there is a difference. Many of these might fall into the category described in line d, e, and f. (the universal nature of this statement might include that even those who do not know Christianity could come into the knowledge of the Mysteries.)
To extend this logic further the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven cannot be reached without knowledge of the Sacred Mysteries and although those who have no knowledge of the mysteries may have fully functioning physical senses they lack an awareness that can be proven through their senses and therefore are not fully “human” before Christ because their hearts have “waxed gross” (are Earthly minded).
Note: Human beings who live strictly at the physical level, live more as human animals rather than as human beings. As offensive and insulting as this may sound. Observe people more closely. Example: A poor person attempting to live in clean surroundings is clearly different than a poor person living in deliberate smelly squalor. You will notice a difference in their sensitivities, demeanor, and generosity. Observe what they eat and how they eat it, how they talk. Notice how they dress; clean vs. being filthy. One feels blessed to have what they have, the other feels entitled to have more often without having to work for it and might even steal to get it. One will improve where he lives while the other will further destroy where they live eventually making it uninhabitable. One looks for an opportunity while the other expects the opportunity to find him. Their behaviour and their poverty are mutually exclusive. Each is reflecting externally who and what they are internally. One is human, the other is more animalistic. These are not judgments, they are observations from which conclusions can be drawn about a person. Christ did say that you will know people not by what they say, but by what they do. This means that one has to observe in order to draw a conclusion about people without necessarily being in judgment of them.
Many consider all those with a human appearance to actually be human. A human appearance must also be coupled with a willingness to act with love. Otherwise, they are merely a human animal lacking the grace that a human being is supposed to be endowed with. And, believe this or not, some may actually be demons here to learn a lesson. (many will disagree with this possibility!!)
To continue, if the Bible is the word of God and these words are inspired from heaven, it is entirely true that these words will not yield their complete understandability to those whose hearts are profane and proud. (Pride is an attribute associated with animalistic materiality – example a vain person is often referred to as a peacock). As a child in the temple, Christ implied as much to the priesthood (Pharisee) when he handed them the sacred book back to them closed – (meaning: these words are not for you to understand because your pride and presumption will render them unintelligible to your heart.)
When we become aware of a universal truth we will see it in action everywhere around us. Our senses are opened by the knowledge. So it is through knowledge of the Mysteries a whole new awareness of life is made possible.
The pre-requisite for entrance into the Mysteries is not money, social standing, worldly education or membership in a particular religious order. It is made clear by Christ Himself that accessibility is only to those who have a pure and loving heart. Then and only then, according to the New Revelation, the Lord Himself will teach you from your own heart.
